Major League Baseball's 2026 season kicks off next week on Wednesday, March 25, and T-Mobile is once again rolling out one of its most sought-after subscriber incentives: a complimentary 12-month subscription to MLB.TV, the league's official over-the-top streaming platform. Eligible customers can claim the benefit through the T-Life app starting Tuesday, March 24, at 5 a.m. ET, with the redemption window closing at 4:59 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 31.

The subscription, which carries a retail value of $150, covers out-of-market regular-season games exclusively. Local market blackouts remain in effect, so fans looking to stream their hometown team will need to turn to alternative broadcast options. That said, the deal does include live audio access for every MLB game across the league — a meaningful addition for commuters and listeners who follow the sport beyond the screen.

On a related front, MLB is expanding its in-market streaming footprint to more than 20 teams this season, a notable step forward as the league continues to modernize its distribution strategy in a post-regional-sports-network landscape. That capability, however, falls outside the scope of T-Mobile's complimentary MLB.TV offer.

The 2026 season also marks a significant technological milestone for the sport. MLB will officially introduce the Automated Ball Strike (ABS) challenge system, running on T-Mobile's 5G network infrastructure. The system makes its MLB debut on Opening Night, coinciding with the Giants-Yankees matchup that serves as Netflix's inaugural live baseball broadcast. Having been refined through Minor League play since 2022, ABS gives players the ability to formally contest home-plate ball-strike rulings — bringing a layer of data-driven officiating accountability that mirrors challenge systems already established in other major professional sports.

To unlock T-Mobile's annual baseball perk, subscribers must be enrolled in an eligible plan. Qualifying services include T-Mobile postpaid, Metro by T-Mobile, 5G Home Internet, Fiber, and Small Business plans.
